History

For more than twenty years, South Region Parents as Teachers has been engaging and supporting families with young children in Southern Alberta. Beginning as a pilot project in north Lethbridge in April of 1996 with funding from the Office of the Commissioner for Services for Children and Families it has expanded to provide services throughout the city of Lethbridge and much of rural Southwest Alberta.  Because of the generous support of funders and partners hundreds of families have now benefited from the Parents as Teachers evidence-based home visiting model!
