Did you know you can receive FREE encouragement, information and support from a trained home visitor?

South Region Parents as Teachers is here to support you in your parenting journey. Enjoy personalized in-person/home, video-conference and/ or tele-communication personal visits.

The past two years have been stressful, but research shows having positive routines and rituals can help us manage better during times of stress! We are here to help you and your family by providing you with personalized, custom supports and information. We will complete the AB Health Daily Checklist prior to visiting and can facilitate visits virtually as well.  We will work with you to find the best option to support you.

Home, video, and phone visits have this in common: you and your child(ren) enjoy some one-on-one book and play time to support your child's development and strengthen your relationship, you and your home visitor discuss developmental topics, parenting celebrations and challenges, and you have a chance to reflect on your family's goals. Plus, at every visit, we help you learn about protective factors which help all families be strong and resilient in good times and in tough times.

South Region Parents as Teachers serves the City of Lethbridge and rural communities across Southwestern Alberta such as Bow Island, Taber, Milk River, Coaldale, Nobleford, Fort Macleod, Raymond, Cardston, Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass!

First Nations families in Lethbridge  may be interested in receiving support from our Indigenous-supporting home visitor!

How do you help your young children learn, grow

South Region Parents as Teachers Society is located in the heart of Southern Alberta, and both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the people of Treaty 7, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai First Nations).

By virtue of the signing of Treaty 7 in 1877, South Region Parents as Teachers recognizes that we are all treaty people. South Region Parents as Teachers recognizes that this region is also now home to Region III of the Metis Nation of Alberta.
